    The story of Nan Madol is one of both remarkable human history and enduring local myth, with the two inextricably intertwined in the cultural memory of Pohnpei.
    The Myth of Origin: The Twin Sorcerers
    According to Pohnpeian legend, the city’s creation begins not with mortal engineering, but with powerful magic. Two brothers, the sorcerers Olisihpa and Olosohpa, arrived in a large canoe from the mythical Western Katau (or Kanamwayso), seeking a place to build an altar to worship the god of agriculture, Nahnisohn Sahpw.
    After several unsuccessful attempts to build on the main island, they found the perfect location on the coral reef flats off the shore of Temwen Island. Its past is shaped as much by myth as by history, each reinforcing the other. The Myth of Origin: The Twin Sorcerers In Pohnpeian tradition, Nan Madol did not arise through ordinary human effort, but through supernatural power. The story begins with two sorcerer brothers, Olisihpa and Olosohpa, who sailed in a great canoe from the mythical western land of Katau (also known as Kanamwayso). Their goal was to build an altar to honor Nahnisohn Sahpw, the god of agriculture. After failing to construct the altar on the main island, the brothers discovered an ideal site, the legend says, the brothers used their sorcery and the aid of a flying dragon to levitate the massive basalt columns into place. These stones, some weighing up to 50 tons, moved as if by “ghost hands” across the water and air.
    Once the structures were built, Olisihpa died, and Olosohpa became the first ruler of the Saudeleur dynasty, marrying a local woman and establishing a lineage that would rule Pohnpei for centuries.
    The Historical Dynasty: The Saudeleurs
    Archaeological evidence supports the establishment of the Saudeleur dynasty and the subsequent construction of the megalithic city.
    • Early Settlement: Human activity on Pohnpei dates back to the first or second century CE, with early artificial islets appearing around the 8th or 9th century CE.
    • Megalithic Construction: The peak of the monumental building occurred between 1200 and 1600 CE. Nan Madol became the centralized political and ceremonial capital of the island’s 25,000 inhabitants.
    • A City of Power and Control: The city was designed to isolate the ruling elite from the common people. The rulers, initially seen as benevolent, grew increasingly oppressive over time, forcing local chieftains to live in the city where they could be watched and demanding constant tribute of food and supplies from the main island.
    • A Feat of Engineering: The construction involved quarrying hundreds of thousands of tons of naturally occurring columnar basalt from a volcanic plug miles away on the main island. These “logs” were then transported—likely via bamboo rafts—and meticulously stacked in a log-cabin style without mortar, a monumental feat of logistics and engineering that still baffles modern experts.
    The Fall and the “City of Ghosts”
    The Saudeleur dynasty’s tyrannical rule led to its downfall. A warrior-hero named Isokelekel, often described in oral histories as a demigod or foreign invader from Kosrae, arrived with a war party. Aided by the oppressed Pohnpeian populace, Isokelekel defeated the last Saudeleur ruler, who, in some legends, retreated up a stream and transformed into a fish.
    Isokelekel established a new, more decentralized system of rule, and while he resided briefly in Nan Madol, his successors soon abandoned the logistically challenging city, moving back to their own districts.
    Over time, the grand capital became a silent ruin, reclaimed by mangrove roots and silt. The legends and the sheer mystery of its construction contributed to its nickname, the “City of Ghosts,” a place where ancient spirits and the memory of a lost civilization still linger in the spaces between the colossal stone walls.
    Nan Madol is a site steeped in both enduring mysteries that baffle modern science and rich local legends that offer supernatural explanations for the inexplicable. 
    Key Mysteries
    Construction Methods: The primary mystery is how the Pohnpeians, without the use of pulleys, levers, or metal tools, managed to transport and precisely stack massive basalt columns, some weighing up to 50 tons, to create a city on a remote coral reef.
      • Transportation: The nearest quarry site is miles away, across rugged terrain and open water. A 1995 Discovery Channel documentary attempt to float a one-ton stone by raft failed, deepening the puzzle of how larger stones were moved.
      • Lifting: How the multi-ton stones were hoisted up to build walls as high as 25 feet remains an engineering enigma.
    • Purpose and Abandonment: While historians know it was the ceremonial and political center of the Saudeleur dynasty, questions remain about the exact purpose of every one of the 90+ islets, as some had very specific functions (e.g., food prep, canoe making). The exact reason for its ultimate abandonment around the 18th century is also unclear, with theories ranging from a typhoon to disease or the logistical difficulties of living in a city with no fresh water or internal food source.
    • Submerged Structures: Some researchers have speculated about parts of the city being older, built during a time of lower sea levels, or even the remnants of a sunken continent. However, subsequent underwater archaeological surveys have determined that most submerged “structures” are natural coral formations, not man-made structures. 
    Key Legends
    • The Twin Sorcerers: The most prominent local legend attributes the city’s construction to two brothers, Olisihpa and Olosohpa, powerful sorcerers who arrived by canoe from a mythical land to build an altar for the agriculture god. They used their magic and the help of a flying dragon to levitate the huge stones into place.
    • The City of Ghosts: Many modern Pohnpeians view the ruins with a sense of fear and superstition, referring to Nan Madol as the “City of Ghosts” and believing the site is inhabited by the spirits of dead kings and powerful rulers with supernatural abilities. Disturbing the site is believed to bring a curse or bad luck.
    • The Curse of Governor Berg: This legend tells of a German governor in the early 20th century, Victor Berg, who disregarded a royal ban and opened a sealed tomb on Nan Madol, reportedly finding the skeletal remains of giants. That night, a wild storm arose, and Berg died the next morning, a death locals attributed to a curse from the gods for his disrespect.
    • Giants and Lost Continents: Some fringe theories and popular culture interpretations have connected the massive scale of the architecture to a lost continent like Mu or Lemuria, or even extraterrestrial intervention, though these claims lack scientific evidence.

    The article is called Dr. Stone’s Easy To Read Encyclopedia of ASCENSION by Joshua David Stone, Ph.D. This article was extracted from Dr. Joshua David Stone’s newly published book, “The Complete Ascension Manual”.

    When I first got started on The Path many of the people asked me if I had read about Edgar Cayce and I told them that I hadn’t. Finally after so many did ask me this question, I did read such books as There Is A River and others. Let me be the first to tell you that when they told me the information was good, they were telling the truth. I will now put down some information that sounds a lot like the way he would explain something. He always had an odd way of explaining our past history. Sometime it’s not exactly literal but it is one way of looking at things. I hope you will become a fan of his. He is now on the other side.

    The following story of creation is quite an amazing, and often unbelievable story. I just want to qualify this chapter by saying that I didn’t make any of this up myself. All of this information comes directly out of the universal mind channelings of Edgar Cayce, and other sources such as Djwhal Khul, Ruth Montogomery, The Tibetan Foundation and other similar types of channelings. The amazing thing is that all these different sources tell a basically similar story, so I know that I am very much on the mark, although some of it may be quite surprising to some readers.

    In the beginning was this one source of light, the one presence, called GOD. God, In His great joy and love, had a desire to create, to express himself. From this undifferentiated state God created suns, moons, galaxies, universes and He liked what He had created. Something however, was missing – companionship. God wanted to create self conscious beings who could share His joy of creation. Out of the infinity of God came trillions of sparks of light made in His image.

    Out of this expression also came Amilius, the light, the first expression of the Divine mind; the first manifestation of spirit. All souls were created in the beginning and all souls were androgynous. The unique thing about our cretion was the aspect of free choice.

    In our creation we went jetting out into the universe creating like God creates, with our mind and extending God’s kingdom. We were perfect, and this was the Edenic state. In our travels through the infinity of God, we discovered the physical or material universe and we were intrigued, for in the beginning we didn’t have physical bodies, but rather just spiritual bodies.

    Then we began projecting a part of ourselves into, let’s say the earth, to explore the beauty of matter. There was, in actuality, nothing wrong with this, for the entire infinite universe was a playground of sorts. We began projecting a part of ourselves into a tree to see what a tree was like. Then we would project ourselves into a rock to see what that was like, then into an animal to experience what it was like to eat grass and interrelate with other animals.

    In each case we would do this and then we would leave and project ourselves back into the spiritual planes. We would also, then, with the incredible power of our minds create thought forms of animals, through the power of our imagination. These thought forms would begin to densify and we would inhabit these thought form creatures like we would an animal that had already been created.

    This was all fine until that moment in creation which the bible refers to as the fall of man. It was in this moment that we forgot who we were, because of our over-identification with the material universe. We got caught in the density of matter and thought we were the animals or thought form animal creatures we had created.

    In falling under the illusion that we were material instead of spiritual in identity, began the downward spiral of creation. In this moment “ego” began. Ego being a thought system and philosophy based on the illusionary belief in separation, fear, selfishness’, and death.

    This phenomena of souls getting more and more deeply caught up in the illusion of matter continued at an alarming rate. Amilius (an incarnation of Jesus) and other higher beings who had not fallen, knew that something had to be done to help their fellow brothers and sisters, for man was continuing to create a conglomeration of monstrosities to satisfy his out of control desire.

    He created cyclopes, satyrs, centars, unicorns, animal bodies with human heads, beings with hooves, claws, feathers, wings and tails. Man had become trapped in the grotesque bodies that were not suitable for sons and daughters of God. Man even created the first female whose name was Lilith, the forerunner of Eve. This projection was created to again satisfy his selfish carnal desires.

    The plan that God and the God force created to rectify this situation was the creation of five physical races on the five continents of the planet. Each race was a different skin color. Each skin color was not better than another, but rather was for the different climate conditions. Certain skin colors were better for certain climates.

    The plan was that all those souls who had gotten caught up in matter would use these more perfectly fitted human bodies to incarnate into, that were more fitting to a son and daughter of God. So man did not descend from monkeys as the evolutionist would suggest, we were created.

    After the creation of the five races there were 133 million souls on the earth. The red race lived in Atlantis and America. The brown race in the Andes and Lemuria. The yellow race in the Gobi Desert of East Asia, and the black race was in the Sudan and the upper West Africa. The white race in Iran along the Black Sea and the Carpathian Mountains of Central Europe.

    The basic plan that God created was reincarnation, that souls would incarnate into these human, rather than animal bodies to reawaken to their true identity as God beings and learn to demonstrate this on earth and hence begin their accent back to the Creator.

    This act of creation occurred 10 1/2 million years ago. The animal influences created by the fall, and the initial thought form projections of animals, didn’t completely disappear from the earth until around 9,000 B.C. Remnants of these pathetic creatures were later depicted in our mythology and in Assyrian and Egyptian art.

    Another factor that added into these grotesque animal creations was the fact in these earliest of times that human beings were able to procreate with the animal species and with these grotesque beings. After human souls separated into male and female, God imposed divine laws making it impossible for human beings to produce offspring’s with another species.

    Amilius (the first incarnation of Jesus Christ), Himself descended into matter and became the first Adam upon the creation of the five first root races. Adam was the first of the perfected race. The first of the sons of God as opposed to what the Bible refers to as the daughters of men. Adam was an individual, but also a symbol of all five races as was Eve.

    Sanat Kamara, our planetary logos incarnated into this planet at this time. We are currently living in the Aryan root race. This term was completely distorted by Hitler and Nazi Germany, so please don’t think of it in those terms. The Aryan race has been in existence for over a million years and will continue for some time more.

    The Meruvian root race is just beginning to come into play, so there is kind of an overlapping of root races going on. The name of the seventh root is the Paradisian.

    I would also like to add that Dywhal Khul has told me that the first two races, the Polarian and Hyperboean are often referred to a the Pre-Lemurian root race. This is also how the Tibetan Foundation has referenced them. This is because the first two races were not completely physical, as we understand physicality.

    Tara, the continent for the final seventh root race is a continent that has not emerged yet from the ocean floor in the distant future. The Polarian, or first root race had huge filamentous bodies, and were more etheric than physical. They were also totally sexless. They multiplied by a process of what scientists refer to as fission or budding. For this reason they were basically immortal. They have been called the “Archetypal race”. Their bodies were more gaseous in nature, which is a good way to describe them.

    The Hyperborena or second root race were similar to the first, however they slowly but surely began the process of materializing more. Dywhal Khul and the Tibetan Foundation has often just called these two root races “Prelemurian”, because they weren’t totally physicalized as the Lemurian or third root race was. Human beings, as we know them, began with this third root race.

    When human life first manifested on earth in these first two races the only dry land was at the north pole. The rest of the earth was covered with water. This polar continent looked like a skull cap on the head of the earth. This is the only continent that will never submerge under water in the entire manvantara, or world cycle of all seven root races. One other interesting point was that Lemuria was called the “land of Shalmali” at the time it existed.

    It is also important to understand that the seven root races all have seven subraces. This makes a total of 49 subraces in a manvantara. An example of this would be in our present Aryan root race. The Hindu began 62,000 years ago. The Arabian 42,000 years ago. The Iranian 32,000 years ago. The Keltic 22,000 year ago. The Teutonic 22,000 years ago. The sixth and seventh subraces of the Aryan root race are evolving in America and in a continent that will be arising in the Pacific Ocean. To make God’s plan even more intricate, every subrace has seven family races, which I am not going to get into.

    PRE-LEMURIAN HISTORY.

    There were two great avatars that came in these early Pre-Lemurian times. The first avatar focused on the earth an energy of spiritual attunement. He came forth as a scientist, through a highly developed civilization. His message was to blend the scientific and the spiritual understandings. Humanity didn’t accept His message at this time. They weren’t ready for it. So this great teacher left. He has since returned into that full fledged cocreator state.

    Another great avatar was sent to earth at a later pre-Lemurian time. He was a very tall man and He was fond of wearing a silver robe. He was the first great teacher that really made an impact on the earth. His name was “Lo Chi”. Lo Chi anchored courage, wisdom and love in their beginning stages. He took a war torn civilization and began to build a spiritual community, and temples all over the land. At the end of His reign a mass ascension took place.

    The next great teacher that came changed His approach and stressed the emotional qualities and occupations rather than the scientific as the first avatar had. Some of the greatest art was produced, however the scientific side of society began to shut down. In a sense, a pendulum swing took place, from a more masculine to a more feminine based society. Great strides were made in art, music and dance, but the mental creativity and potency was not there because of this pendulum swing. This began to change over a long period of time and became more balanced and another mass ascension took place.

    Vywanus has called these two previous mass ascensions a period of spiritual harvesting. He says that we are again approaching a harvesting time in this century. This has to do with the Planetary Logos. Sanat Kumara in His cosmic evolution has reached another plateau. Each time He reaches one of these plateaus it is time for “harvesting of souls, or mass ascension.”

    We are currently completing a six thousand, twelve thousand and thirty six thousand year cycle. Each time more than one cycle comes together that period is extremely important. We are in that period now. This harvesting window is approximately 100 years. The end of this one hundred year cycle is from 1995 to the year 2000. The closer to the end of this one hundred year cycle the greater the harvesting. To be incarnated at this time in history is a very great opportunity!

    THE ELECTRICAL WARS.

    It was also in this Pre-Lemurian period that the planet earth was attacked by another group of beings from another planet who wanted to take it over, called the “Electrical one”. Humanity began to defend itself, and this war lasted for 500 years. Earthlings eventually won this battle. The electrical ones were not really evil, but rather simply scientists looking for a new place to live. They came from a very great distance. This war is part of the fear of space ships that still exists to this day in the race consciousness. For these electrical ones took people and animals aboard space ships and did painful experiments on them. A lot of our present day fixations and patterns of attack defense programming stems from this period in the earth’s history.

    The electrical ones were actually seeking to bring their technology of light to the planet to aid in the trip back to the Source. Humanity and the earth, however, were moving towards greater material density. This was not a negative thing on the part of the earth. The earth was saying that we want to learn everything we can within the densest part of physicality.

    A truce was finally declared after 500 years of war and many of the electrical ones left promising to return when the earth was ready. Some stayed in specific areas given to them. The electrical ones stimulated an impatience for this downward materialistic cycle.

    LEMURIA.

    Lemuria or Mu was a land mass lying in the Pacific Ocean, that extended from the part of the United States all the way to South America. The Lemurian stage of existence had to do with the race consciousness learning the lesson of physical attunement. Humanity as a whole progresses in stages, and physical attunement was the key lesson during this period of history.

    The Lemurians were very philosophical and spiritual people. Much more so than the Atlantean civilization which was much more technologically advanced and focused.

    At this period of history great dinosaurs roamed the earth and because of this the Lemurians, to a great extent, had to live underground. They lived in caves hiding from the dinosaurs except to hunt for food. They would make beautifully and artistically decorated caves. The Lemurians were rather small physically. Men were five feet and women a few inches shorter. The survival rate of children was not very high. They lived on grain, berries and fruit.

    Bennington Triangle: Strange Disappearances In Vermont

    If you ever wanted to go hiking in the unscathed beauty of Vermont’s wilderness, make sure you take with you a GPS and some sort of teleportation device. You know, just in case you venture off your trail an step into another dimension. For five years beginning in 1945, six people mysteriously vanished near Vermont’s Long Trail never to be seen again.

    Along the crooked spine of the Green Mountains runs the famous Long Trail. A wilderness trail that was officially constructed from 1910 up until 1930. The trail rungs along the entire length of the state of Vermont and has become a popular hiker’s destination since its opening. However starting in 1945 there were a series of vanishings that occurred on or near the trail that have caused many to speculate a supernatural intervention.

    Middie Rivers – Missing 1945

    November 12th, 1945. During a routine hunting trip, Middie Rivers who was seventy five years-old and an experienced woodsman and hunter, and four of his friends were out hunting deer in the area, like they’ve done plenty of times before. However on this particular day, in the middle of a brisk November, Middie Rivers never returned to their camp site.

    He had gone ahead of the others, reportedly heading back to the camp. After he failed to show up at the camp site, his friends began looking for him. Hours passed and so did the days. Search parties were formed that included family, state police, soldiers, boy scouts, and local volunteers. Nothing. There were no signs of Middie Rivers or his equipment found. It was as if the wilderness had swallowed him whole.  Almost a year later, college student Paula Welden would suffer the same fate.

    Paula Welden – MISSING 1946

    Paula was a student over at Bennington College. In December of 1946 she decided to go for a walk near the trail and had informed her roommate, Elizabeth Johnson, that she would be back shortly.  After leaving her place, Paula Welden stopped the watchman from a local newspaper to ask for directions. He obliged and after he pointed her to the right direction, Paula went on her way. He would be the last person to see Paula again.

    Paula Welden never returned home from her walk that December. The FBI got involved, as did the state police from Vermont and Connecticut. Her case got national attention within days of her disappearance.  Nonetheless, just like Middie Rivers, there was no trace of Paula Welden found. She had simply vanished into thin air.

    James Telford – MISSING 1949

     

    Another disappearance occurred in December of 1949. Unlike the others, this one reads like something straight out of the Twilight Zone.

    On December 1st, 1949, James Telford vanished near Bennington, Vermont. The ex-soldier was on his way home from St. Albans, via bus. He was in company of 14 other passengers that day. From the reports, the passengers all attested to seeing Mr. Telford asleep in his seat. When the bus reached its final destination, Telford had vanished.

    There were no signs of the ex-soldier anywhere inside the bus even though his belongings were still on board. The only thing left besides his luggage was the bus schedule sheet that lay on his empty seat.

    No one has seen Telford since.

    Paul Jepson – MISSING 1950

    October 12th, 1950. Eight year-old Paul Jepson had wandered off near the area of Bennington. Where four years earlier Paula Welden vanished. Paul’s mother had asked him to stay inside the truck while she tended to the family’s pigs. The feeding took only a few minutes but when she had returned to her truck, her son had vanished.

    The local police was called and a search party was formed. Bloodhounds were used in the disappearance of the eight year-old but the trail ran cold once the hounds got deep into the trail. No trace of Paul Jepson was ever found.

    Frieda Langer – MISSING 1950

    Two weeks after Paul Jepson’s disappearance, fifty three year-old Frieda Langer also disappeared.

    October 28th, 1950, Frieda Langer and her husband went on a camping trip near Long Trail. They were accompanied by other family members. While out hiking, Frieda and her cousin, Herb Elsner, ventured off on their own. The two had come across a stream in which Frieda had fallen into.

    She was completed soaked. She told her cousin that she was going to run back to the camp site for a change of clothes. It was around 4:30 P.M.

    Herb waited for her cousin for about an hour before decided to walk the short distance back to the camp. Upon arrival, he learned that Frieda never made it to the camp. She never came out of the woods.

    The snow had fallen and blanketed the Galstenbury area. The area where Frieda had vanished. Months passed and there were no signs of her until May of 1951. When the receding snow banks exposed the mummified remains of Frieda Langer.  Unlike the rest of the missing, hers was the only body ever found.

    Martha Jones – MISSING 1950

    She vanished on November 6th, 1950. The report did not go out initially because it is said that her parents believed she had run off with her boyfriend to Virginia. However when the parents got in contact with the young man, he assured them that it wasn’t the case.

    A massive search effort was made near the Glastenbury area within the next few days. However like the rest of the disappeared, nothing turned up.

    Sixteen year-old Martha Jones had joined the others, apparently vanishing into oblivion.

    Frances Christman – MISSING 1950

    December 3rd, 1950. Frances Christman disappeared from the face of the Earth while on her way to visit a friend who lived half a mile from her. It had only been a few weeks since Mrs. Langer vanished on October 28th and the townsfolk were already on edge. When the news of Frances Christman’s disappearance hit the newspaper, many were already speculating that a serial killer was lose in the wilderness of Vermont.

    Serial Killer or another dimension

    Regardless of the various speculations, only one body was recovered during the 5-year disappearance streak. The rest of the missing souls have not been seen since they vanished a half a century ago.

    So what’s so special about these Vermont disappearances? After all, people go missing everyday. Not just in Vermont, but all across the world. The weirdness lies within the area of Bennington, Vermont. The area dubbed as ‘Bennington Triangle’.

    Every Fall and Winter, for five years, people began disappearing on or near Long Trail. Most of them were hiking alone in the woods when they vanished with the exception of James Telford, who was near the area but traveling by bus.

    Could the explanation be as simple as a serial killer stalking the trails in the early 1940s? Maybe. Or could something else be at play? Something…otherworldly.

    A serial killer(s) is more likely to be the explanation for the rash of disappearances. However it’s important to note that only one body has been recovered. The rest of the missing have not been seen since. Dead or alive.

    You then start to think about the strangeness that exists in our world. About the stories of alien abductions and inter-dimensional portals and such possibilities. Can this really happen? Especially when you think about the case involving James Telford and his sudden disappearance from a crowded bus en route. You then start to think…what if?

    I shall post here a recounting of something that happened. You can take it for what its worth, and consider the implications of it, or not, as your conscience dictates. There are no pictures to back this up, no other witnesses to verify it, other than the man involved at the time, and he would not be considered an impartial witness. There is no physical evidence to analyze. All you have here is a recounting of an event that took place on the weekend of August 1, 1997.

    This is exactly what happened. You may draw your own conclusions on it.

    On the
    weekend of August 1, 1997, I went with “XXX” to Elephant Butte State Park, south
    of Albuquerque. At about 1030 Saturday night, he pointed out a light in the sky. We were
    sitting on the lake’s edge. It was very dark, no lights on around to limit vision. And we
    had no fire or lights going. We were on an isolated part of the lake, far from anyone
    else. He pointed out a particular light in the eastern sky, over the mountains that make
    up the east border of the lake. He said “Watch that.”

    Then he said, out loud, “Ok. We’re ready here. Go south.” The light moved to the
    south. He said “Now give us a flash or two.” The light increased in brightness,
    from about the brightness of a larger star to the brightness of a welding torch. It did
    this, gaining in brightness and then receding, a couple of times. Then he says “Now
    go back north to original position.” The light moved immediately to the north.

    I asked him what was going on, what was he doing? He said, “You wanted proof. There
    it is. You got 20 minutes. Make the most of it.” I told him to make the light go in a
    figure 8 pattern. He repeated my request, and the light did exactly a figure 8. For 20
    minutes, whatever I said for it to do, he repeated and the light did it. North, South, up,
    down, circles, figure 8, stop and back up, 90 degree turns at high speed, changed colors,
    following exactly the color sequence I gave him. The only thing he refused to have it do
    was come in low over the lake. There were a lot of people at the park camping and such. He
    said he couldn’t bring the ufo in low, that “they” didn’t want another frenzy
    like the one in Phoenix recently.

    After the 20 minutes was up, the light streaked upward, leaving a bright trail behind it,
    and disappeared in a matter of a second or two. I asked him how he did that. He said he
    was communicating on a telepathic level with the pilots of the craft, that they were ET in
    origin, although there were humans on board as well. He said he had an implant that helped
    to “boost” his natural telepathic ability. I asked him where this implant was,
    and he said behind his left ear. I made him let me check. There is definitely a foreign
    body behind his left ear, below the skin. I’m a nurse. I know what a foreign body feels
    like. What is there is not a cyst, not a clogged sebaceous gland, not a wart or mole.

    Sunday morning, he made the statement that I should not be surprised if someone came
    looking for him. We were still at the lake. We stayed there all night. About an hour
    later, 2 f-16s (I think that’s what they were. I’m not that good at knowing one military
    jet from another) came from the south end of the lake. They circled over us at a low
    altitude, maybe 100 to 200 feet. I’m not real good at judging distance, either. They were
    low enough that I could clearly see the missiles strapped under their wings. They were both
    fully armed. They circled the lake and came back for another pass directly over us. He
    waved to them, and the jets did the banking back and forth move that they do to signal
    everything is ok. Then they flew back to the south. I asked him what that was all about,
    and he just shrugged and said, “I told you that someone might come looking for
    me.” I asked a man who lives at the park if it was normal for jets to fly armed over
    the lake like that. He said no, that they very rarely came over the park or the lake. The
    only place they could have come from is White Sands, which is south and slightly east of
    Elephant Butte.

    I have been over this and over this in my mind. I was completely sober, wide awake, and
    not tired or sleepy. The only conclusion I’ve drawn that explains what I saw, what I
    witnessed him doing (relaying commands that were followed by this object in the sky, and
    getting buzzed like that by two f-16s) is that he’s not lying about who and what he says
    he is, about his connection to the ETs, military, etc. My limited education in these
    matters won’t let me draw any other logical conclusion. I know what I saw, and I have no
    other explanation for it.

    If there is no other explanation for what I saw, then I have no choice but to believe that
    this man is legit. And that, frankly, scares the hell out of me. I know what I saw, I know
    what he says about it, but I want to make certain I’ve exhausted all possible avenues of
    explanation before I completely believe I wasn’t hoaxed somehow. But for the life of me, I
    have no way to explain how he did it, if it was a hoax, or how he managed to arrange that
    little show by the f-16s.

    That’s it….I’m open to any ideas regarding a logical explanation…..

    One time long, long ago, before the People had horses, the buffalo suddenly disappeared. All the hunters killed elk, deer, and smaller game animals along the river bottoms then. When all of them were either killed or driven away, the people began to starve.

    They were camped in a circle near a buffalo drive. Among them was a very, very poor old woman, the second wife of her husband. Her buffalo robe was old and full of holes. Her moccasins were old and were torn by rocks. While gathering wood for the fire one day, she thought she heard someone singing a song. It seemed quite close… but when she looked around she saw no one.

    Following the sound and looking closely she found a small rock that was singing, “Take me! I am of great power. Take me! I am of great power.” When the woman picked up the rock it told her what to do and taught her a special song. She told her husband and said, “Call all the men together and ask them to sing this song that will call the buffalo back.”
    Her husband asked, “Are you sure?”
    “Yes, I am sure.” She replied.

    “First get me a small piece of the back of a buffalo from the Bear-Medicine man.”
    Then she told her husband how to arrange the inside of the lodge with some sagebrush and buffalo chips. “Now tell the men to come and ask them for the four rattles they use.”
    It is a custom for First wife to sit close to her husband in their lodge. However… this time the husband told Second wife to put on the First wife’s dress and sit beside him.

    The buffalo stone began to sing after all the men were seated in the lodge. “The buffalo will all drift back. The buffalo will all drift back.” Then the woman said to one of the men, “Go beyond the drive and put up a lot of buffalo chips in line. Then all of you are to wave at the chips with a buffalo robe, four times, while you shout like you were singing. The fourth time that you shout, all the chips will turn into buffalo and will go over the cliff.”
    The men followed her directions while the woman led the singing in the lodge. She knew just what the young man was doing all the time, and she knew that a cow-buffalo would take the lead. While the woman was singing a song about the leader that would take her followers over the cliff, all the buffalo went over and were killed.
    Then the woman sang a different song…
    “I have made more than a hundred buffalo fall over the cliff…and the man above hears me.” Ever since then, the people have taken good care of a buffalo stone for they know that it has much power.

    New Finding Adds to the Mystery of this Ancient Astronomical Computer

    A new study suggests that the mysterious Antikythera mechanism is even older than it was previously thought.

    The mechanism was discovered in 1901 in an ancient shipwreck near Crete. Its origins still remain a mystery, but it is believed that it could serve as an astronomical calculator. The complex clock-like mechanism consisting of 37 bronze gears was most likely used to track planetary positions and accurately predict lunar and solar eclipses. It also tracked the dates of the Olympic Games.

    What is the most amazing about this ancient device is that it was centuries ahead of its time. The complexity and the unbelievable accuracy of the mechanism make it more advanced than any known similar device of the time when it was created and for centuries afterwards.

    When, where and by whom was it built? Science does not give a solid answer, but some experts suggest that it might have been inspired by one of the legendary scientists of the Greek antiquity – Archimedes, Hipparchus or Posidonius. This is also consistent with a study conducted in 2008 which examined the language inscribed on the mechanism and concluded that it must have been manufactured in Corinth or in Syracuse, where Archimedes lived. As for the date of manufacture, the engravings on the box the device was housed in were estimated to date between 80 and 90 B.C. But more recent estimations of the age of the letters in the inscriptions suggest a date of 100 to 150 B.C.


    Now, Dr. Christian Carman of National University of Quilmes in Argentina and Dr. James Evans of the University of Puget Sound in Washington suggest that the Antikythera mechanism’s calendar started in 205 B.C., just seven years after Archimedes’ death.

    The scientists compared the mechanism’s eclipse patterns with the Babylonian eclipse records and found that the starting point of the device’s calendar was 50-100 years earlier than previously thought. Moreover, it appears that the eclipse prediction scheme was based on Babylonian arithmetic, and not on Greek trigonometry, which did not exist at that time yet.

    The new finding also makes the connection of the Antikythera mechanism to Archimedes seem even less likely, as the Antikythera wreck, which involved the ship that was carrying the device, took place between 85 and 60 B.C., and Archimedes was killed in 212 B.C. Of course, the device could have been built with a starting date set many years before its manufacture, but it does not make sense because in this case its accuracy would have been significantly reduced.

    Earlier this fall, an international expedition travelled to the site of the shipwreck and made a number of remarkable finds. They plan to return in the spring. Who knows, maybe the findings from that trip will disclose more about this mysterious ancient device.
